I HATE SMALL TALK -- Anyone Like Meaningful Conversations?

Looks like I struck a cord with some of you guys.First of all no where in my Thread did I say first date. I said DATING as multiple dates with the same person.Or lots of long phone converations. At least I thought thats what dating is.

My point is that over a period of time I would hope the guy Im dating would start to talk about something a little more meaningful than his dog, the weather, the game or yes even his work. Not that his job isnt meaningful and a big part of who he is but woman, especially as you get older hope for more in depth conservation.

Maybe I need to just sit back and enjoy the ride more and not expect so much.Ive been told men are really not that hard to figure out, they are for the most part very simple. I dont if thats true or not and Im sure it depends on the man. Thank you for all the advice good and bad, it has helped to open my not so experienced dateing eyes.

  2. Over a period of time I agree that it should be spiced up....just let the man know that you want to talk about things outside the box.

  3. now that you have spoken "man lingo" i understand the question better.

yes, after the 1st date and the attraction is there then i would say that its all down hill and both would talk more about themselfs and life . so on and so on.

  4. If a guy opens up with all his feelings like your girlfriends would, put him on the next bus for San Francisco.

The rest of us guys are quite simple. Feed us well and give us a little lovin' and we'll conquer Rome for you. That's really all there is to it. For us being tender means using a 16oz hammer where an 8 Lbs sledge is needed.
